  • Manage daily operations of the City’s wastewater treatment facilities and staff.
  • Oversee maintenance, safety, compliance, and performance metrics (because “good enough” doesn’t cut it).
  • Plan for future infrastructure needs — think ahead so the flow never slows.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a skilled team that takes pride in keeping Lake Havasu beautiful and healthy.
  • Work cross-departmentally on city initiatives and improvement projects.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We’re looking for someone who is:

The ideal candidate has a strong background in wastewater utility operations, possesses excellent management skills, budgeting skills and technical skills to provide leadership and direction to staff in the spirit of teamwork and collaboration. This supervisory position has significant field and administrative responsibilities to maintain regulatory compliance requirements, respond to emergency situations, and train and supervise personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in engineering, environmental science, or related field
  • 6+ years’ experience in wastewater treatment and collection
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Possession of Grade IV Wastewater Collection System Operator and Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certifications issued by Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) at hire. 
  • Valid Driver License of appropriate class.
