Salary Range: $69.322 To $92.898 Hourly

 

THE POSITION:

 

Senior Engineer – Under general direction of the District Engineer, the Senior Engineer will perform complicated professional engineering work related to the wastewater treatment plant and collection system. This includes designing and management of capital projects, participation in planning capital budgets, and serving as the District Engineer during his absence.

Some examples of duties include: coordinate capital improvement projects, including design, construction, and inspections; provide technical input on system modifications for lift stations, sewer mains, and the wastewater treatment plant; prepare progress payments, change orders, and reports; design and prepare plans and specifications and cost estimates for projects on lift stations, sewer mains, and wastewater treatment plant; interpret and enforce construction plans and specifications; other related duties as assigned.   

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, LICENSES: Any combination of education and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualifying.

 

Five years of experience in civil or sanitary engineering (experience with management of wastewater treatment plant and/or sewer collection system desirable); and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in civil engineering, sanitary engineering, or related field; and a valid California driver’s license; and possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration.
