Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for multiple Senior Civil Engineer positions. Senior Civil Engineers are responsible for a variety of civil engineering work for Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) in connection with the design, surveying, testing of materials and construction of public works projects. Public works projects include but are not limited to drainage, water and wastewater collection, distribution, and treatment, new building construction and remodels, and other structures and projects.

SacSewer is the second largest sewage collection utility in California and owns and operates the second largest water resource recovery facility of its kind in the nation, the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility located near Elk Grove. SacSewer provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services to residential, industrial and commercial customers throughout unincorporated Sacramento County; the cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, and West Sacramento; and the communities of Courtland, Locke, and Walnut Grove.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.

AND

Three years of full-time experience as a registered engineer performing duties which have included difficult and complex civil engineering projects with responsibilities comparable to those of a project, resident, or operations engineer for public works projects. Experience to be applied must be comparable to that of an Associate Civil Engineer within Sacramento Area Sewer District service. Two years of this experience shall be in the option being tested.
