Real Property Specialist

What you will typically be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with employees, outside stakeholders, and the general public.
- Performing a variety of duties in areas of, but not limited to, property management, property acquisition, disposition of surplus property, operating and capital projects, and development of various agreements and contracts.
- Due diligence activities such as conducting through research of property ownership and rights, and analyzing public reports, maps, and property legal descriptions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Training: Equivalent to an associate degree with major coursework in real property appraisal, business, public administration, or related field.
Experience: Two (2) years in real property transactions and construction projects in a public agency or real property environment.
Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California driver’s license to be maintained throughout employment.
Desirable Experience: Completed educational courses through the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).
