Public Works Construction Manager

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: This is a section head position within the Engineering Division with responsibility for the supervision of public works inspection. This position requires considerable knowledge of construction management and basic engineering principles and practices.
This position is represented by Fairfield General Management Association (FGMA) and receives an excellent benefits package, including:

Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
- Six years experience inspecting public works projects requiring a knowledge of field and office engineering practices and procedures is required.
Education:
- Graduation from high school, supplemented with technical courses in engineering, construction methods, materials testing, or related fields is required.
Possession of a a valid Class C California State Driver’s License is required at the time of hire. Possession of a valid equivalent is acceptable during the application process.
