CMSA is a regional wastewater agency in San Rafael that provides wastewater and biosolids treatment and disposal for resident and businesses in central Marin County, as well as produces recycled water and renewable power. The Agency is recognized by state and national organizations in the areas of permit compliance, facility operations, resource recovery, safety, and financial reporting.
ABOUT THE POSITION
CMSA is recruiting for one Institutional Utility Laborer (IUL) position. CMSA currently operates and maintains San Quentin Rehabilitation Center’s (SQRC) pump stations, under a multi-year service agreement. Under general supervision, the IUL performs a variety of general tasks at the SQRC pump stations and grounds, and performs other related duties at CMSA. The position is a full-time temporary hire (specified duration) position with full benefits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent is desirable. Some custodial, landscaping, and/or painting experience is desirable.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess a valid California Class C driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The selected applicant must be able to successfully pass an initial background verification test following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, and pass such a test annually, thereafter, as administered by the California Department of Corrections. Failure to pass the contractually required background verification test will result in the loss of employment.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Annually: $61,438.78 to $74,676.94 depending on qualifications and experience.
