Reclamation District 1000 (RD 1000) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking General Manager to lead flood protection and infrastructure operations for the Natomas Basin, one of California’s most vital and rapidly developing regions. Established in 1911, RD 1000 manages 42 miles of levees, 30 miles of canals, and seven major pump stations that protect residents, property, and essential regional infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, technically skilled, and politically astute leader with experience overseeing complex public infrastructure programs. This position offers the opportunity to advance a multi-million-dollar capital improvement program, foster strong interagency partnerships, and guide a talented team dedicated to public safety and service excellence.
