SALARY
$156,166.40 – $189,820.80 / Yearly
THE POSITION
This position plans, organizes, develops, implements, coordinates, and administers Zone 7 Water Agency’s Environmental, Health and Safety, and Emergency Management Program, which includes safety training, investigations, and assuring compliance with applicable state and federal health and safety regulations.
This position will exercise judgment and initiative; maintain written procedures, reports, and compliance programs; and make recommendations as needed on the coordination safety-training programs and Agency’s emergency management plan. This positions also functions and provides first-line supervision to assigned safety staff.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Possession of an Associate Science degree from an accredited college or university in occupational safety and health or a closely related field.
AND
Experience:
The equivalent of four (4) years of full-time, professional experience performing technical duties within safety, occupational health, environmental health, industrial hygiene, or hazardous materials programs, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role in that capacity.
LICENSING and CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Possession of a valid CPR Certification
- Possession of a valid First Aid Certification
- Possession of a valid Confined Space Entry Training
- Possession of a valid HAZWOP
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License
