Electrical/Instrumentation Technician I/II

Under the general supervision of the Electrical/Instrumentation Supervisor, an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician I, II performs a variety of skilled electrical work related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial low and high voltage electrical motors, motor controls, and related electrical equipment and skilled instrumentation work related to the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical instruments used for measurement and control of water and wastewater distribution and treatment processes. 

This is a flexibly staffed series and employees typically enter as an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician I. An Electrical/Instrumentation Technician I exercises less independent judgment and discretion and has a narrower scope of responsibility. Level I employees are promoted to level II when both District competency assessment standards are met and required certification is obtained. The Electrical/Instrumentation Technician II is the fully experienced, journey level class. 

This recruitment is being conducted to establish an eligibility list to fulfill current and future needs during the life of the eligibility list (up to one year). There is currently one (1) full-time vacancy. The recruitment process will consist of an application screening, 1st round (structured) interview, and 2nd round (selection) interview.
