District Manager

DISTRICT MANAGER – POSITION OPENING

Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 Annually (Dependent upon qualifications/experience).

The West Montrose Sanitation District is seeking a District Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, long term planning, and project implementation of the District. This full-time position is responsible for the overall administration of the business office, wastewater collections and treatment systems and the direction of District staff and its contractors/consultants. The District Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for providing information and guidance to the Board and carrying out its directives.

Qualified candidates should be experienced with Colorado local government structure and operations with a minimum of ten-years multi-disciplinary experience and five-years management level experience in the following areas: budgetary procedures and preparation, fiscal management, elections administration, human resources and public accountability. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the Board, district staff, residents of the District, contractors, consultants, legal counsel, and other governmental agencies and authorities. Utility management experience is desired but not required for this position.
