District Engineer Annual Salary: $170,500 – $203,500 DOE/DOQ

Deputy Engineer Annual Salary: $136,500 – $179,550 DOE/DOQ

The San Benito County Water District (SBCWD) is offering an exciting opportunity for qualified engineering professionals to join its leadership and technical team as a District Engineer or Deputy District Engineer.

The District Engineer serves as a high-level strategic leader responsible for the oversight of engineering, monitoring and compliance, and capital project planning. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical part in shaping the District’s long-range infrastructure and water supply goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in public administration and water.

The Deputy District Engineer is responsible for hands-on engineering, supporting project oversight, daily operations, and capital improvement efforts. They will assist with planning and project execution. The ideal candidate has strong experience in water system design, fieldwork, and project management. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development, with mentoring and support aimed at preparing the Deputy for possible advancement to the District Engineer position.

Deputy Engineer Annual Salary: $136,500 – $179,550 DOE/DOQ
