The Nueces River Authority is seeking an energetic, motivated individual to serve as Deputy Executive Director. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director (ED) and office in the Authority’s Headquarters located by statute in Uvalde, Texas. This position will work closely with the ED in directing all aspects of the Authority’s operations with the intent of transitioning into the upper position upon the Executive Director’s retirement in 2 to 3 years. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, public or business administration, finance, or other related fields, and 10 years’ related experience in a governmental organization. Must be experienced in the development and operation of large projects. The Nueces River Authority offers a fringe benefits package competitive with other river authorities. Starting salary from $200,000, depending on qualifications.
