Position Summary

At the onset the primary role of this position will be the optimization of biosolids disposal and focusing on reducing costs. Additionally, the role will provide technical support for industrial water, wastewater, and biosolids operations in states where the company has systems.

Major Job Duties

The role will serve as the primary individual responsible for working with CSWR Operational Technical Services to optimize biosolids disposal and reduce expenses in the state of Louisiana first and then expand to CSWRs remaining 10 states

Primary Responsibilities

·     Local contact for Operations when they need or request assistance (understanding issues or problems—including on-site visits, access to operations, analytical data, permits, contracts, etc.).

·     Respond to requests, resolve the problem, or escalate it: define the technical expertise required and contact the ad-hoc team or specialists in Construction-Engineering (CE), Information Technology (IT), and Operations Technical Services (OTS).

·     Assist OTS units in collecting and validating technical data to track and prioritize projects, enhance overall compliance, optimize processes, and achieve cost savings while providing accurate information for reporting

·     Support plants/systems in developing OPEX optimization initiatives, i.e., cost savings (identify, prioritize, and follow up), for example, biosolids management across the organization’s footprint

·     Best practice implementation: Organize on-site meetings, training, and other necessary activities with the Operations teams

·     Assist OTS technical support teams in deploying new technologies, tools, and methodologies, providing on-site support with investigation and implementation.

·     Submit a weekly “Summary of Activities” report

·     Interfaces daily with other functional areas, including Operations, Engineering, Quality Control, and Purchasing

·     All other duties as assigned

Education/Skills

·        15 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of domestic-industrial water and wastewater facilities, with at least 10 years overseeing advanced wastewater operations, including biosolids management.        

·        Water/Wastewater Operator Certification or other equivalent confirmation of specialty skills is highly desirable

·        Demonstrated leadership ability with knowledge of Biosolids Processes/Operations, Facilities/ Capital Equipment, QA/QC procedures, Safety, and Environmental aspects

·        Demonstrated ability to manage projects on schedule completion and within budget

·        Requires a valid driver’s license

·        Residence in the state of Louisiana is preferred

·        Experience in water and wastewater treatment, with thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, principles, and practices involved in water and wastewater treatment, biosolids management, water distribution, collection networks, and water reuse is required
