Utility/Maintenance Supervisor

The incumbent will enjoy working a 4/10 work schedule (Monday through Thursday) not including overtime or on call shifts.
Effective July 1, 2024, new hires will receive a hiring bonus of $10,000.00. This bonus will be paid in three installments:
1. $4,000.00 will be paid on the first paycheck following the Employee’s hire.
2. $3,000.00 will be paid on the first paycheck after successfully completing the Employee’s probationary period.
3. $3,000.00 will be paid the first paycheck after forty-two (42) months of continued employment as a Utilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Performs a variety of supervisory, administrative, skilled, technical, and maintenance work in the operation, repair, maintenance of City water systems, City facilities, parks, grounds, and open spaces; maintains and/or repairs conducts repairs and provide construction oversight of City streets, sidewalks, signs, sewers, storm drains, traffic systems and rights-of-way; assists in the preparation of plans and specifications for public works projects; performs inspection duties and assists in the coordination of public works projects; and performs related duties as required.
This is a single-position class with oversight of the Utilities and Maintenance divisions. Duties include performing both technical and difficult maintenance tasks; may assist in the preparation of plans and specifications for public works projects; perform inspection duties; and assist in the coordination of miscellaneous public works projects. Successful performance of the work requires considerable use of independent judgment and initiative, particularly in the event of emergency situations.
