SALARY RANGE
$7,461 – $9,069 monthly

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, performs advanced level professional accounting duties to maintain financial records supporting the administration of developer-funded projects; and to perform professional accounting duties involving the reporting of financial transactions and maintenance of financial records for District operations, programs and services.
- Maintain a variety of accounts and general ledgers; prepare monthly fiscal reports relating to the progress of assigned accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries to record revenues, wire transfers, payment to assessment districts and correct expenditures.
- Serve as a financial resource to various District departments; provide information regarding a variety of accounts, revenues and expenditures.
- Audit account numbers and balance appropriations available for financial demands and purchase orders; review account balances and entries for errors; perform corrected journal entries.
- Prepare all bank statement reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits.
- Perform professional accounting work.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The right person for this role will possess the following credentials:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration or a related field.
- Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance. Three to five years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
- Possession of a certified public accountant (CPA) license is highly desirable.
- Possession of a Class C California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Possession of or ability to obtain certification from District provided CPR/First Aid Training.
