The Rodeo Sanitary District is a small 0.50 MGD activated sludge plant with Hypochlorite disinfection located on the edge of San Pablo Bay right between the cities of Crockett and Hercules. The District when fully staffed, is composed of eight people who execute all of the functions needed for day-to-day operations with assistance from outside contractors and vendors. The collections system is also maintained by the District and has a total length of 25 miles, which almost a quarter has been completely replaced within in the last eight years. The collections system conveys the sewage back to the plant almost all via gravity and then uses two lift stations within a mile of the plant to help flow the rest of the way here.

Here is a flyover of the plant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D8RmNK9uoA
