Electrical Instrumentation Technician

**$2,500 HIRING BONUS**

THIS POSITION IS CONTIGENT UPON FINAL BUDGET APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT THEIR JUNE 23, 2025 MEETING.

Annual Salary: $84,522.67 to $114,105.47

Come be a part of our award-winning Wastewater Maintenance team! The Costa Mesa Sanitary District (CMSD) is located in the heart of Orange County and serves a population of approximately 118,000. CMSD is seeking a highly motivated individual who has great integrity, initiative, and a passion for serving the public.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of journey level electrical maintenance and repair work related to all programs and activities of the wastewater maintenance and operations function.

The ideal candidate has some education, training and/or experience in the wastewater industry. The candidate must have knowledge of operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned, standard tools, methods, and practices. Experience working with the public and other employees in a positive and professional manner is desired. The candidate must be flexible in order to respond to emergencies and unanticipated changes in the daily work schedule.

CERTIFICATIONS: This position requires the candidate to possess or have the ability to obtain an Electrical/Instrumentation certification from the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) within eighteen (18) months of employment.
