Skills And Qualifications

Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications in blueprints; cut and bore holes in structures, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools; select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications and/or measure, mark, cut, thread, and fit pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders. assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment , brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints; inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, and observation or other methods; modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment; ability to operate transportation equipment such as booms and forklifts and have worked on scaffolding.  Also excellent at recognizing and resolving problems in a timely manner; good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; working knowledge of codes governing the field.
