Job Description:
The City of Calistoga is looking to fill a Water & Wastewater Plant Operator II position. Calistoga, at the top of Napa Valley and 80 miles north of San Francisco, has population of 5,300 and owns and operates a water reservoir and a conventional surface water treament facility that produces approximately one half of the total annual water demand for the community. In addition, the City's Dunaweal Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is a 0.84 million gallon per day (mgd) average dry weather flow activated sludge tertiary treament plant.
This position receives direction from the Water Systems Superintendent and will participate in operation and maintenance of the City's Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, supervise lower level staff, collect information, check accuracy and compile required reports for regulatory agencies. This journey level class will perform the more complex types of duties with only occasional instruction or assistance.
