Job Description:
Provide administrative and organizational support to the Conservation staff. Assist in conservation and runoff reduction projects, including implementation, monitoring and reporting, as assigned. Interact with the public, staff and outside agencies. Address customer inquiries and perform on-site water surveys as required. Provide back-up support for other conservation staff as appropriate. Educate customers with regard to the IRWD tiered rate structure. Help create processes and educational materials to help the customer understand conservation efficiency. Participate in planning and presenting conservation workshops. Position may be required to participate in community events and be available evenings and weekends when necessary. Ability to speak before small groups. Operate computer for water use history, analysis, and making of spreadsheets, reports and graphics. Lift up to 40 pounds. Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent conservation related experience. Experience: Experience in a conservation-related field is desirable. MS Office is required and Access proficiency is desirable. Special Licenses/Certs: Valid Class ‘C’ California Driver’s License. Selection Procedure: Oral Panel Interview.
