Job Description:
There is currently one Chief Plant Operator position available at the Mission Basin Groundwater Desalting Facility.
This position supervises, plans and coordinates the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant; responds to customer iniquiries and complaints; oversees assigned budget; supervises staff; and performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities, including two years of supervisory responsibility; • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in water treatment technology, environmental sciences or a related field; • Grade V Water Treatment Plant Operator’s certificate issued by the State of California Department of Health Services; and • California Class C Driver’s License.
